The game doesn't display properly or the text is garbled or duplicated.
Those problems are usually caused by insufficient video memory (VRAM) in your Mac. The Mac versions of our games typically require at least 32MB of VRAM in order to run.
You can find out how much VRAM is installed in your Mac by following this procedure:
• Click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the display.
• Click on About this Mac.
• On the popup window that results, click More info... The System Profiler will be displayed.
• In the left pane, there should be listed something like Graphics/Display or PCI/AGP Cards (may vary depending upon your Mac's model and age). Click on that and you'll see your display specifications in the right pane. Your video memory will most likely be displayed as VRAM (total).
If it's less than 32MB, you will probably not be able to run the game and should not purchase it. If you have already purchased the game, you should follow the procedures for requesting a refund, below.
If you have at least 32MB of VRAM and your computer is an iMac or iBook, you may not have enough main memory (RAM) to run the game. Our tests have shown that many iMacs and iBooks, due to the way that video memory is handled, require at least 768MB of RAM.
Finally, there is a possibility that a USB device is interfering with the successful loading of the game. Several Mac users have reported that, in some cases, a USB device (usually a mouse) can prevent the game from loading. In that situation, temporarily unplugging the mouse allows the game to be launched. Once the game is running, the mouse can be plugged back in and used without causing problems for the game. If you are still unable to run the game after following the above procedures, please complete and submit our Support Form (select "No" below) to receive additional assistance. You will usually receive a response to your support request within 48 hours.
